Consumer Law
Overview
We provide comprehensive services in consumer rights protection under the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 (CPL). Our services cover defective goods and services claims (CPL Art.8-16), installment sales and distance contracts (14-day right of withdrawal — CPL Art.48), subscription agreements, warranty claims, consumer credit disputes, timeshare agreements, consumer arbitration committee applications, and consumer court proceedings.
Common Disputes
Legal Process
In consumer disputes, the obligation to apply to the consumer arbitration committee depends on the monetary threshold in force on the application date. Since this threshold is updated annually, it should be verified through the Ministry of Trade and Official Gazette. Disputes exceeding the threshold and objections to committee decisions are brought before the competent court.
